The name "Les Jardins d'Angélique" "Angélique's Gardens" already gives an indication of the design concept: It is not a question of one garden, but of several different garden parts in different styles. The owners Gloria and Yves Lebellegard started the facility in 1989. The garden is divided into an English-inspired part in front of the main facade of the manor house and the more formal part with typical French elements. This garden is screened off at the back of the house. The history of these gardens did not leave the artist indifferent. Because they were built in memory of Angélique, the daughter of the couple who died at the age of 19. The beauty of nature as a tribute to a beloved child. The work expresses a certain melancholy, but also the unbroken will to live and the strength of the parents with whom they commemorate their daughter. Strong, broad strokes of colour, fine floral lines, glitter and glimmer express the carefree, lively world of a 19-year-old girl full of passion and joy.
